Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington’s documentary film “Restrepo” was awarded the 2010 Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival. The film follows a single platoon of soldiers at a remote and dangerous outpost in Eastern Afghanistan for the course of their fifteen month deployment. The soldiers’ experience — a year of intense combat — is the subject of Junger’s forthcoming book WAR (Twelve, May 11th, 2010).
