The Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency is offering a full-time position as an assistant to a literary agent.

We are a small, congenial office and are looking for someone to be involved in every aspect of the  agency business.   Responsibilities include reading and evaluating manuscripts, regular contact with authors, publishers, magazines, film producers, foreign agents and publishers, etc., vetting and negotiating contracts, involvement in selling serial, foreign and audio rights.  Good telephone and computer skills are essential, as is talent at multitasking.  1-2 yrs experience publishing experience is preferred; office experience is essential.

We represent a broad list of fiction and non-fiction titles, with a strong emphasis on narrative non-fiction, including New York Times bestsellers THE FIXER UPPER by Mary Kay Andrews; PHYSICS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE by Michio Kaku; MAYFLOWER and IN THE HEART OF THE SEA by Nathaniel Philbrick, which won the National Book Award for Non-Fiction in 2000; and THE PERFECT STORM by Sebastian Junger.
